A recent Center for Disease Control (CDC) report of sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) in the US found that STD cases are at an all-time high. The report, released Nov 2015, found that chlamydia cases numbered more than 1.44 million, up nearly 3% over last year. While both the number of chlamydia cases and the disease rates are the highest ever recorded, the rates for gonorrhea and syphilis are only near 10-yr highs. Gonorrhea cases are up nearly 5% over 2013 and syphilis cases are 15% higher than they were in 2013. STD figures here.
With the rise of STDs, what follows is an analysis of the sexual habits of 20-24 year olds.
